ABOUT THE ROLE Power Probe is a growing company, and we are looking for a sharp, detail-driven Warehouse Operations Specialist to manage our Returns and Quality Control function. This is not a standard warehouse role — we are looking for someone who combines hands-on operational execution with an analytical mindset, using data to identify trends, solve problems, and help us continuously improve product quality and inventory accuracy. You will be a key contributor to our warehouse operations, working cross-functionally with the warehouse team, product management, and logistics to ensure returned products are handled efficiently and quality issues are identified and addressed at their root cause. This role is also cross trained across warehouse functions, making you a flexible and valued member of the broader operations team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Returns Processing • Receive, inspect, and evaluate all returned products to determine appropriate disposition: return to inventory, rework, or scrap • Process all returns accurately in SAP, ensuring inventory locations are updated in real time • Log all returns in the returns portal and maintain accurate, up-to-date records for each transaction • Classify and physically sort returned products to their correct locations based on disposition determination • Repair and repack eligible tools (e.g., 300AUTO) from warranty returns where applicable • Manage rework queue in SAP — classifying products back into inventory or escalating to scrap as appropriate Quality Control • Perform quality control inspections on all incoming shipments, identifying damages, shortages, and defects • Conduct random shipment audits to verify accuracy before products leave the warehouse • Test returned and flagged inventory using appropriate tools including batteries, fuses, multimeters, micro torches, and demo boards • Identify and resolve serial number mismatches to ensure SAP inventory accuracy • Verify inventory movements between locations for accuracy and resolve discrepancies proactively • Escalate recurring or high-volume quality issues to the Product Manager with documented findings Reporting & Analysis • Review returns and quality data reports to spot trends, identify high-volume defect patterns, and flag root causes for review • Prepare clear, actionable quality control reports for leadership highlighting defect trends, return volumes, and recommended corrective actions • Use Microsoft Excel and basic tracking tools to log, organize, and monitor return activity in support of broader reporting • Collaborate with relevant departments to analyze root causes of returns and recommend process improvements to prevent recurrence • Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and flag anomalies that may indicate systemic issues Warehouse Operations & Cross-Training • Process incoming shipments and upload serial numbers in SAP as part of receiving operations • Assure accuracy in receiving and transfer of products into warehouse locations as needed • Perform inventory counts to verify shortages or overages, including cycle counts and spot checks • Cover for teammates across warehouse functions during absences or high-volume periods as needed • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in all returns and QC zones • Follow all company policies and procedures for returns processing, quality control, and product disposition WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required • 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, returns management, quality control, or a related role • Hands-on SAP experience in a warehouse or logistics environment • Analytical mindset — able to review data, spot trends, and translate observations into clear findings and recommendations • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate defect patterns and propose root cause solutions independently • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic Microsoft Office tools for tracking and reporting • High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency • Good communication skills — able to document findings clearly and collaborate across departments • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods in a warehouse environment • High School Diploma or GED required Preferred • Experience with UPS shipping portal or similar shipping software • Familiarity with product testing tools such as multimeters, batteries, fuses, micro torches, or demo boards • Associate’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field • Experience with inventory management or warehouse management systems beyond SAP • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Pay Range $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience Schedule Full-time, on-site | Monday – Friday Health Insurance Medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401K benefits PTO Paid time off and holidays Growth Cross training opportunities across warehouse operations as the team grows WORK ENVIRONMENT This is a hands-on, on-site role based in our Charlotte, NC warehouse.
